Last November the Global Smart Communities and Cities Coalition (GSC3) started to set up partnerships with Australian cities.
ASCA was one of the first organisations who signed a MoU with GSC3 in the presence of the Queen Maxima of the Netherlands during the Australian – Netherlands Smart City Summit co-hosted by ASCA.
GSC3 was back in Australia earlier this year firming up the partnerships that they had been forging with Australian cities.
GSC3 will come to Australia again at the ASCA Smart Communities Conference in May.
The aim of the GSC3 is to establish international collaboration projects between its Australian member cities and its other international partners. At the moment four concrete international city partnerships are under discussion and they will also be presented during the Smart City Mayors Meeting hosted by the Lord Mayor of Adelaide coinciding with the ASCA conference.
